Logan's 1st Birthday Party!

My really good friend from Hartford, Nicole's little boy, Logan had his first birthday party and we were lucky enough to get invited! It's so hard to believe that Logan is already one. It seems like just a couple of months ago that Nicole told us she was pregnant. We were pregnant at the same time and it was great having someone to talk to about all of the changes, worries, and excitements with! Logan is such a special and sweet little boy and I can't wait for him and Millie Kate to play together more!

Millie Kate is 8 months old!

Millie Kate was so tired from all the Christmas festivities by the time we got around to her birthday pictures. I felt so bad for her, but I had to get her monthly pictures done! Things sure have changed since the One Month photo session. She doesn't want to stay in her chair, she wants to eat the paper sign, she's so distracted and wants to get her hands on everything she sees! I had to keep her from falling out of her chair about 100 times and I tried using the bow to keep her seated. It worked for a little while. Millie Kate has changed so much in just the past few days that it amazes us. She's so close to crawling and she's able to sit herself up now all by herself! She reaches and grabs for everything. I have a feeling my life is really about to change!!

Christmas

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year! It was great having everyone there and the fact that it was Millie Kate's first Christmas made it that much more special. She enjoyed playing with the gifts Santa brought her so much that shortly afterwards she was ready for her morning nap. She missed a lot of the present opening, but made up for it later at our house with Brian's dad and Bredt. Christmas morning we had our traditional oyster stew, breakfast casserole, and monkey bread for breakfast. It was so yummy, as always and this year I actually ate three oysters. Gramps was very proud. After breakfast we opened presents and then rested up for lunch. Then it we packed up and went home to have dinner and open gifts with Brian's dad. Millie Kate was really into the paper and bows and it was so much fun watching her rip into them and then want to play with everything she opened. She got into it a whole lot more then I thought she would. It was such a fun and memorable day and I was sad to see it end!!
