Camp Stonington Place

The last two weeks, while Brian was out of town, Millie Kate and I stayed with my parents. It was nice to not be home alone, especially at night, and for Millie Kate to spend lots of extra time with her grandparents. I think my mom really enjoyed having her there too! It was an extra special birthday present for her! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting Millie Kate and I camp out at your house for 2 weeks. We really appreciate everything you did for us! We love you!

Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween was a very fun day. We woke up and had pumpkin muffins for breakfast. After MK woke up from her nap, we headed over to Cumberland Mall so Brian's dad could see Millie Kate dressed up(pictures are on my other camera and will be uploaded soon). Then we went over to my parents house so we could all go to church for Trunk or Treat. After a rainy, but fun time there we headed over to the Grelecki's so Millie Kate and Parker could trick or treat together like Crysie and I use to do when we were kids. We only took them to three houses, it was cold, rainy, and I think Parker was even falling asleep. Turns out he had a stomach bug and threw up all night, poor guys. I know must of what we did all day was mostly for Brian and I and for pictures, but it's just too much fun to dress them up and it's never to early to start family traditions!

Halloween Playdate

On Halloween Eve, Katie Estle and Katie Howell, brought their girls over for a Halloween playdate. We've been talking about and looking forward to getting pictures of them in their costumes since they were born. Picture sessions are a little bit harder now that they are able to move around, it was a lot easier when we just laid them down and they stayed where we put them! They were all so cute in their costumes and did a great job of putting up with all the picture taking! We were lucky to have Abbie there to help out! It was a fun way to celebrate their 1st Halloweens.

Thursday night was pumpkin carving night. Millie Kate did a great job and was a lot of help! :)

Big Girl Swing

Last Wednesday we went to the park for a playdate and Millie Kate swung in the swing for the first time. She really enjoyed it and she looked so cute. She didn't figure out how to sit up straight in it and kept sliding down. But she smiled the whole time.

Starting Solids

We finally started MK on rice cereal last week. Brian was soooo excited to start her on solid food. He couldn't wait to feed her. He said I'd been doing it for 6 months, it was his turn now! She did great at first and really seemed to like it, but then half way through she wasn't so sure and you could definitely tell when she was finished. I was a little sad to give up being her soul source of nourishment, but I know it was time and she was ready. I can't breastfeed her forever! On Sunday we started her on Avocado and she seems to really like it. I'm trying to decide what to make her next. Solids is a whole new world for us!
