MK is 7 months old

These monthly posts keep getting closer and closer together! Millie Kate has changed a lot in the past month. She has two teeth now, in fact one of them had just cut all the way through on her 7 month birthday and that's why her tongue is out in most of the pictures. She's clapping now, pushing up on her knees and rocking back and forth, trying to figure out the crawling thing. She's talking more and more and she's pretty good at eating solids. Green Beans are her favorite so far. She's sleeping about 12 hours at night and still takes about 2 naps a day, if we're home long enough for her to get them in. I think she's starting to get a little separation anxiety, she gets a little fussy when I walk out of a room now, but it's not too bad. She's just as cute and happy as she can be, if only she'd stop growing so fast!

Brian and MK were home alone together while I went the Fox with my Mom and Sister to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Here are some pics of their time together.

30 weeks

I know it's probably weird that I still keep up with how many weeks Millie Kate is. But I like to compare what she looks like now to how big she was when I was that many weeks pregnant with her. When I was 30 weeks pregnant with Millie Kate, it was my 30th Birthday and it was Friday the 13th and she was the size of a cabbage!!

Happy Apple and Sucker Man

My parents have been cleaning out their basement and came across some of our old baby toys. Two of my favorites were the Happy Apple and Sucker Man. Happy Apple is normal baby toy, but Sucker Man is this ugly red rubber alien with suction cups all over his body. Apparently I like chewing on him and it seems MK does too! Don't worry, I cleaned him before I gave it to her!

Last day of music

The last 10 weeks we've been going to Tiny Tots & Tunes at Johnson Ferry Baptist. Crysie and Parker, and Katie and Madelyn took the class too. It was a lot of fun watching the babies develop and get more involved with the songs and instruments over the past 10 weeks. Millie Kate really seemed to enjoy it and you could tell which songs were her favorite because she would always giggle when they would come on. It was also a fun way to catch up and meet other mommies with babies around the same age. We're thinking about doing the spring semester too!

Millie Kate and I made our first grocery trip together. I'm so lucky to have a husband who was willing to do all our shopping for the past 8 months! At the end of my pregnancy I was just too tired and uncomfortable to do it and then once Millie Kate came I didn't want to take her because of germs and because I knew I wouldn't be able to see over the carrier and would take down every display in the place. But now that she's big enough to sit in the cart, I decided it was time for us to go. She loved and it and smiled at everyone that would stop and talk to her and really seemed to enjoy all the many things to look at. She is still a little too small and kept falling over and I'd have to set her back up, but other than that, it was the most fun I've ever had at the grocery store. I'm so excited to have a little shopping buddy now!

Uncle Mack's Birthday weekend

Friday, MK, Presley and I packed up and went on our first road trip together without Brian. We went to Birmingham to visit Uncle Mack for his birthday and to see Brian. He had been in Tuscaloosa, AL for the past two weeks and it was great to see him for a couple of days. Friday night we went to Buffalo Wild Wings because Brian had been craving wings and Saturday night was the birthday party! Millie Kate loves her Uncle Mack and just stares at him whenever he's around. It's so cute!
