Chase's Baptism

Crysie and Ryan asked Brian and I to be Chase's God Parents and we were honored to accept the position! He looked so cute in his little white tux and did a great job during the service. When it was his turn to be baptised, the congregation started laughing as he tried to dive into the Baptism Font. Congratulations Baby Chase! We love you!

Look, I'm Standing

We'd been trying to get Millie Kate to stand alone for a couple of weeks and she'd do it for a seconds and then sit back down, never long enough to really get a picture. I guess the water made it a little easier because she was able to stand up for about 10 seconds or so!! We were so excited!!

Millie Kate has been showing a lot of interest in trying to feed herself. She actually does a pretty good job of getting most of the food in her mouth. Here are some pictures of a successful applesauce feeding! Oh and please ignore the Christmas bib that she has on.

Memorial Day Weekend

We started off the holiday with a great church service that honored the men and women that have paid the ultimate price for our country. It was a very moving service and didn't leave a dry eye in the place. We then headed over to the Yawn pool for some swimming and grilling. It was just like old times plus a few husbands and babies added to the bunch. Stephanie and Mack even came into town for the celebration!! Despite a little t-storm, it was a fun and festive day.

A Day in Asheville

We went up to Asheville for the White Family Reunion. Brian's grandmother was a White and married a Gray! It's a very colorful family!! We had a great time seeing his aunts and uncles and all his cousins and their kids. Brian has a pretty big extended family and they are so much fun to be around. Millie Kate hadn't seen most of them since the reunion last year when she was only 6 weeks old. After the reunion we went to a near by park to celebrate Brian's cousins son, Coleson, second birthday! It was such a hectic day, but we were so glad to get to spend time with everyone!

Pool Time with Taylor!!

The storms stayed away and we were able to spend the day at the pool with Taylor and Tiffanie. Matt was there too, but we didn't play with him! The girls were so cute in their swimsuits! Millie Kate loves the pool and really liked the baby pool. She would hold onto the side and walk around in the pool. She's turning into a little fishie!

MK is 13 months!

I think this month has been the most fun so far. Millie Kate is changing everyday and does some of the cutest things we've ever seen! She is always dancing. Cher seems to be her favorite right now, which makes her Pops very happy. She even starts to bounce up and down when my phone rings! She gives kisses all the time, she has just started signing "please", and she lays her head down on the table or even in the bathtub, when you say "time to go night night". She has become even more attached to her lovies and wants to have them with her when you get her out of her crib in the morning. She has also started sucking her thumb a lot more than before. She has 10 teeth now, 3 of which are molars. She's working on standing by herself, but really doesn't have much interest in walking yet. She loves to push her push toys around and put things in them if she can and she loves pulling things out of bags or baskets. She LOVES babies and every time she sees one she reaches for it and tries to hug and kiss it. It's so cute! I wish she could stay this age for a few more months, but I think that at every stage and then I end up loving the next one even more!!
