Millie Kate turns 1 month old!!

Millie Kate turned one month old on Memorial Day! She is growing and changing everyday! It has been such a fun and amazing month!!

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was a busy one but also very special! Millie Kate met her great grandfather for the first time and she turned 1 month old on Memorial Day! Saturday night we grilled out at Brian's dad's house, Sunday we grilled out at the Yawn's, and Monday we were at my Aunt's house! It was a fun family filled weekend!

Mother's Day

Millie Kate was only 2 weeks old on Mother's Day, but it was important to me to go to church and spend the day with my mom. After church we went to Olde Towne Athletic Club for lunch. Brian and I had our wedding reception there 4 years earlier and since our anniversary was just 4 days later, we thought it was the perfect place to go. It was such a special day and Brian made me the sweetest photo book of pictures from Millie Kate's birthday.

After lunch, we went to the Yawn's so Crysie and I could spend our First Mother's Day together!

First Bath

Millie Kate's cord fell off on her 1 week birthday, so we were able to give her a bath pretty early. She did great and Brian and I were so suprised how easy and untramatic it was. She just layed in her tub, sucked her thumb, and dangled her foot in the water. It was so cute!

Bringing Baby Home!

We left the hospital around 1:30 on April 27th as a new family. It was an emotional ride home, for me, not for Millie Kate. She slept the whole time as I cried the whole way home! We played "We've Only Just Begun" by the Carpenters on the way. My parents had that song sung at their wedding and it was the last song Brian and I danced to at our wedding. It was so overwhelming knowing that we were getting ready to start our new lives together. I'm crying right now just thinking back on it.

Mildred Kathryn "Millie Kate" Gray

I apoligize for the horrible job I've done keeping up with this blog. But things have been a little busy since Millie Kate's arrival on April 25, 2009! She was born at 5:36pm, weighing 8.4 lbs and was 21 inches long. She is an amazing baby and we have been loving every minute of it!

Nursery Pictures

Here are some pictures of the finished nursery! We are very happy with the way it turned out. Brian put a lot of work into it and painted all the furniture except the crib and the white shelves above the crib. Now all the room needs is Millie Kate! Only 10 more days until our due date!
