Millie Kate is 5 months old!

I know I say this every time, but it really is so hard to believe she's already 5 months old! I love this stage and I'm enjoying every single second of her. Being her mommy and being home with her everyday is my dream come true! Even though I'm with her all day, everyday it some how doesn't seem to be enough. I miss her when she goes to bed at night and Brian and I go in her room to check on her or just to stare at her at least 5 times before we go to bed. The last couple of mornings I've gone in to look at her and she's been awake, propped up on her arms and just looking in her crib mirror or playing with her seahorse. When she finally sees me, she gives me the biggest and cutest smile and it just melts my heart! She often brings me to tears for no reason at all except that I'm just in love with her and she brightens my days. She's not much into rolling over and only does it every once in a while. She's reaching for everything now and of course it goes in her mouth if she gets her little hands on it. She grabs for toys and she's able to pass them between her hands. We started a music class this week, Tiny Tots & Tunes, and I think it's going to be a lot of fun for her, and me too! We are looking forward to what the next month has in store and all the new things she learns to do!

FALL!!!

Fall is finally here and we're so excited! It's our favorite season. I love everything about it... football, changing leaves, all things pumpkin, Halloween, the cool weather, sweaters, jeans, boots, the smell of burning leaves and Thanksgiving. We're looking forward to going to festivals, the pumpkin patch, and dressing up for Halloween. It's going to be FALLbulous! :)

my happy girl
It finally stopped raining so we took advantage of the sunshine and went on a little walk. Millie Kate tried out her umbrella stroller for the first time. She's probably a little too small for it, but she seemed to like it. She was a little confused when I would talk to her and she couldn't see me, she kept bending her neck and turning her head trying to find me!

Jumpie Jump

With all the rain we've been having, things were getting a little boring around here, so we thought we'd try out the Jump & Go that Wade Benich let us borrow. Millie Kate wasn't so sure what to think and she's still a little to small for it, but she figured out how to spin around and around. It must have worn her out because afterwards she passed out on her activity mat! The only door frame that we have downstairs is in the bathroom, so please excuse the toilet in the background.

Abbie's 2nd Birthday party!

Abbie Estle turned two on Saturday and we went to her party to celebrate. It's so hard to believe she's already two!! She is such a cute and sweet little girl. She loves Curious George and so Brian and Katie made her a cake with him on it. They free handed it and it turned out so good. It was fun to watch Abbie play with her new kitchen set and open all her presents and see all her little friends!

The birthday girl. I couldn't get her to look at me!

The Curious George cake that Katie and Brian made. It was so yummy!

Look how far I've come

A year ago today, Brian and I heard Millie Kate's heartbeat and saw her for the very first time. It was such an emotional day and one I'll never forget. So hard to believe that was a year ago and that she's here and already 4 1/2 months old. Time is going by way too fast!

Visit to Birmingham

This past weekend we took Millie Kate on her first trip to Birmingham to visit Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Mack. She was so good in the car and hardly made a sound. She just slept and played! We went out for pizza, went to lunch with Aunt Jenn, and relaxed and watched football while Brian and Mack went to the Auburn game. It was a nice weekend and great to spend time with my sister and Jennifer. It was the first of many trips to Birmingham for Millie Kate!

The other afternoon I went to check on Millie Kate while she was napping and this is what I saw. I thought it was so cute!

Gramps' 94th Birthday!

Monday was my grandfather's 94th birthday and we celebrated with family, yummy food, cake, and his favorite thing...ice cream!!! He is the smartest, most hard working, kindest, honorable, and adorable man I know. His 94 years have been filled to the max with experiences, inventions, and genealogy. I pray that he lives long enough for Millie Kate to learn at least half of the life lessons that he has taught me. We look forwarding to celebrating number 95 next year!

Parker's 1st Birthday Party

Millie Kate went to her first birthday party on Sunday and it just happened to be her boyfriend, Parker's. Parker has had such a rough first year and it was so special to celebrate everything he and his family has survived. He's such an amazing little boy, so happy and always smiling. His smile just melts your heart. We love you Parker!!! Happy 1st Birthday! :)

We've Got SPIRIT, Yes We DO!!!

The College Football season is here and it's one of the best times of the year. It's how you know it's Fall in the South and Brian and I love Fall!! We're looking forward to cheering on the Blue Raiders and the Tar Heels this year and hopefully we'll make it up to Murfreesboro for at least one game. Millie Kate wanted to be a part of the action and show that she has spirit too!!!
