Burt's Farm(Pumpkin Patch # 3)

Monday we drove up to Dawsonville to Burt's Farm, to pick out our pumpkin and mostly, to take pictures!! It is such a pretty drive, the leaves are beautiful and Burt's has a great variety of pumpkins, we really enjoy the giant ones that they have. Millie Kate was a good sport during all of the picture taking and she even let us put the cute pumpkin hat on her.

I love this picture

Millie Kate's Half Birthday!

It makes me cry to know that my baby's first year is already half way over!! The last 6 months have been so fun and filled with so much joy. Millie Kate is such a happy baby and so continent every where she goes. Because of her easygoingness, we've been able to take her to TN twice, Asheville, Richmond, Birmingham, Illinois, and Destin in just 6 months! She's great in the car, even on the 11 hour drives. The past two weeks she's been to her first tailgate, football game, beach trip, had cereal for the first time(pictures to come), swung in a big girl swing(pics to come), and helped carve her first pumpkin. She's sitting up straight now and all by herself. She's reaching for things all the time now and has started pulling her legs up under her. These monthly photo sessions are getting harder and harder because she doesn't just stay where ever I put her and now she's discovered the sign and wants to eat it, as you will see below. I'm looking forward to watching her grow and develop over the next 6 months!!

Destin!

After the MTSU game, we left TN and drove down to Destin, FL for the week. It was Millie Kate's first trip to the beach and it was so much fun to watch her reactions to the sand and see her splash around in the pool. She loves kicking her feet in the water and she kept trying to put her face in. I'm so glad she's not scared of the pool! We were able to relax, although, having a baby makes for a totally different beach experience. It was nice to spend some time with the Howells who were able to join us, and for Millie Kate and Madelyn to play together. It was the first, of hopefully many, family vacations!!

First Tailgate and Football game

Two weekends ago we drove up to Murfreesboro for the MTSU vs. Mississippi State game. It was a very big game for MTSU to host and we were very excited for it to be Millie Kate's first football tailgate and game. It was very cold that day, somewhere in the 40's, so we had to bundle MK up really good. She did awesome and was even able to fall asleep and take a little nap in my arms. The mommies ended up leaving during the 3rd quarter and MTSU lost, but it was still a lot of fun to be there and show our school spirit!

You can hardly see her cute little face

For some reason I'm having a hard time uploading some pictures so these were the only ones I could post, but there were a few more cute ones.

Nakie Babies on a rug

My parents took pictures of me when I was 5 months old on a sheep skin rug that they have. I thought it would be cute to do the same with Millie Kate. We don't look anything alike, but it was still fun to compare the pictures.

Patch #2

A couple of weeks ago my mom and I took Millie Kate to Scottsdale Farms in Alpharetta to walk around and look at the pumpkins, eat lunch and shop in the Barn. It is such a pretty nursery and I can't wait to go back at Christmas to look at the Christmas trees and shop for gifts. It was a fun fally day!!

The Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we went to Berry Patch Farm with the Greleckis! It was a little rainy and muddy, but it was fun to pick out our pumpkins with Parker and take the 150 or so pictures that we took. Brian even brought our tripod, I'm sure we looked like big dorks, but that's okay. It was fun to take Millie Kate on a new family tradition and spend the day with the Greleckis!

We had a hard time getting them to look at the camera at the same time

The Jones' just happened to be there at the same time so we were able to get a picture with Gabe!
